Based in Denver, Colorado, and Winter Park, Florida, Sherrie loves to travel to work in other locations. She has completed projects in South Florida, Tampa, Orlando, Omaha, Denver, Portland, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, San Francisco, Asheville, Chicago, Atlanta, and Washington, DC. Sherrie’s vast experience in the business includes all aspects of design, styling, and construction in homes, vacation homes, rental homes, offices, and retail spaces. She is hands-on and involved in every stage of the process to make sure that the end product meets the vision.

Since starting her company SLW Interiors twenty years ago after her father’s construction career inspired her interest in design, Sherrie has channeled her enthusiastic appetite for life into her approach to design by using her life experiences as inspiration for her work. Over the years, she has lived in Chicago, Dallas, and Florida and has traveled extensively exploring new cities. During her travels, she has always been drawn to nature and art and those loves continue to inspire her work. Sherrie believes in using colors and materials from nature to create a home that is relaxing and rejuvenating. After her love of art began in her early 20s when she purchased her first original piece of art in Charleston, South Carolina, she has used original art in her designs and believes that every client can own original art that will bring joy and lasting memories.
Each project, whether large or small, begins with meeting the client to assess their style, needs, and budget that she accomplishes by being a good listener. During the meeting, she looks at the space and finds 1-5 good qualities from which she can expand. She then uses her client’s interests, personalities, needs, and budget to come up with the best design plan for them. This usually means helping to move the client out of the box in order to elevate the home in a way that reflects their personality. Each home should be a reflection of the owner and be a welcoming and meaningful oasis.
